The HR Consultant is a key role in Human Resources. Sometimes, they are called HR Business Partners, but they should always start as HR Consultants. They are the sales force of the HR Management Team. They manage the relationship with internal clients, they propose solutions to internal clients. They set goals for Center of Excellence in HR.
The HR Consultant has to develop many skills and competencies to become a valued business partner. The consultant needs to start with the communication and presentation skills. He needs to build the executive presences. As the consultant develops, he or she has to add skills that bring higher valued added to the HR Organization.
